Over the last 10 I’ve discovered something about mums like us.
You see, I know that even though you want to feel calm and in control, be productive with your time, jump out of bed each morning feeling awake and ready for the day and have more than enough time to enjoy your kids and have time out for yourself, it won’t happen unless you start doing something differently.
But many mums will argue that “It’s just the way it is” and that nothing can change because of their circumstances.
Maybe it’s having lots of kids, lots of school runs, elderly parents to look after, a lack of support, disabilities, no partner or a partner that’s away or unhelpful etc.
Other mums tell me they have tried things like getting a massage or going to yoga but although it helps temporarily – life soon gets in the way again – and they can’t keep it up.
Right now, from where you are standing, nothing can change and I get that!
Einstein said that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result
Nothing can change if you don’t start doing something differently. I know you might be wondering how such huge transformation can happen in just a few minutes a day in a Facebook group but believe me, it will happen!
What I’m about to say, may seem a little far fetched but, I have seen it work so many times now – for myself and for my clients – that I know it to be true and I can be 100% certain that it will work for you too.
When you change your mindset, you create new thoughts that were not there before, and you are able to see new possibilities.
You are doing an amazing job as a mum!
As a society we put so much pressure on mums. And we are told we can have it all which often makes us feel like failures when being a mum, worker, wife, housewife and more feels like packing at least 3 full time jobs into one day!
And what makes it harder, is that whereas in previous eras people lived in smaller communities and were supported by their extended family, we often live far from our family members now and end up doing everything on our own!
But I just want to remind you that:
You are doing an AMAZING job
You are enough just as you are
Your children love you even when you mess up
Our culture may not celebrate us mums and everything that we do but I do and I want you to too!
You can make big changes by taking really tiny actions….

My name is Tamara Donn and I’ve been helping mums, at all stages of life regain their calm, enjoy their kids more and get more done for over 10 years now. After working in the IT industry for several years, I retrained to become an aromatherapist specialising in pregnancy and once my daughter was born, I realised that my life’s passion was working with women on the motherhood journey. I reshaped my work around that passion and became an antenatal teacher, doula, fertility therapist, founder of the Birth Art Café, EFT practitioner and trainer and family constellator. Within all those roles, my passion is MUMS – at all stages – fertility, pregnancy, motherhood and grandmotherhood!
