Playing the Matrix with Mike Dooley

Albert Memorial opposite the Royal Albert HallYesterday I was blessed to spend the day immersing myself in Mike Dooley’s (you may remember him from the film The Secret) wonderful workshop – Playing The Matrix – that took place yesterday in the the beautiful location of the Royal Geographical Society right next to the Royal Opera House and Hyde Park in London.

I’ve been interested in the Law of Attraction for a while, subscribe to Mike Dooley’s Notes from the Universe (highly recommend!) and have heard some of his Hay House talks but was not prepared for the simplicity of his method and the entertaining, funny and delightful way in which he delivered the day. What I loved most about his explanations was his comparison of setting your intention to plugging in your destination into your SatNav. When you put your destination into your SatNav you don’t worry (generally speaking!) about how you are going to get there – you simply follow the instructions and a while later you arrive. You don’t worry that you may not get there – you just keep going until you do. And if you make a mistake, the SatNav simply recalculates your route. Simple!

According to Mike, the idea is that you simply set an intention or end result, take action and let the Universe take care of the specific route. So you don’t have to concern yourself about how it is going to happen. He has created a whole system called the Matrix which breaks the process down into small steps to help you identify exactly what you really want, get the details (not the Hows!) and then take action. I can’t wait to put his ideas into practice!

In fact, last night on the way home from the workshop, in the car we played one of his games – Pretending Everything Changes! The idea is that you pretend it is some time after you have achieved your end result and you chat to each other about how excited you are about all the good things that have happened and keep making everything bigger and better as you talk. It was great fun and something we plan to do regularly! Thank you Mike <3
