Last Autumn I realised I was spending too much time indoors and not enough time connecting to natures abundance so I created a new habit of going to the allotment most days, setting my alarm for 30 minutes and doing whatever seemed easiest and most enjoyable in the moment. What started as a chore has developed into a love and passion with wonderful results!

Each time I visit, I am reminded of natures abundance and generosity. It is one of my favourite places to do EFT as those of you who regularly watch my videos will have noticed! I often describe EFT to non practitioners as acupuncture for the emotions without the needles and nature’s abundance always clears my head and lifts my emotions giving me positive energy. EFT feels totally natural in these surroundings. It is as if nature itself is infusing me with energy and positive thoughts.

Being grateful for nature’s abundance

In these surroundings I feel gratitude that the earth will share food and plant life with me, if I will spend the time nurturing it. It really is a situation of reaping what you sow. Being surrounded by this generosity, this nature’s abundance helps to clear my mind of all those scurrying thoughts and anxieties. In nature I can think more clearly and focus on what is truly important. Making this a regular habit, has helped me feel more grounded. So many mums I work with find life stressful, overwhelming and filled with overthinking about their “to do list” and we all need to step back from that or a regular basis, ideally daily. Someone asked me recently, “what makes your heart sing?” and my response was, being at my allotment. I think it is because nature is so unselfish and the “work” I do there does not feel like work, more part of a relationship I have with the earth.

I know not all of you have allotments, but there are many ways to tap into nature’s abundance. A walk around any park, meadow, by a river or through a forest will show you nature’s energy. Just take the time to look, stroll, don’t rush. Plus, you can tap into this energy through EFT, as you can see from my video below.
