Time waits for no (wo)man…When you have NO time

No time to do what you truly want to?

No time, overwhelmed, frazzled. It’s a common cry from busy women, “I just don’t have any time to…” and they look stressed, flustered, frazzled and rushed. I totally get it, I have felt that way too but I have learned to look at time in a different way and I wanted to share my thoughts with you.

Do you have time to be in the present moment or are you missing out?

How do we create time from no time?

I can hear the protests already…”It’s alright for you, maybe you have got time..but it’s different for me!” Just remember, life is all about choices. As a parent I catch myself putting work first at the expense of family life until I remember that my priority are my husband and daughter. After all, life could continue without work but could it couldn’t continue without them! Sometimes my daughter will say to me, “Listen to me” and I must put down my phone, move away from the computer, and focus on her. She needs me and I need the connection with her, otherwise why am I working so hard?

However, I do understand when there are things that need doing and it feels as if they just have to take priority and sometimes they do. That is life; sometimes there are priorities we cannot avoid. We can, however, control many parts of out life if we choose to re-focus on what is important. When you are overwhelmed, any change seems nearly impossible, but it can be done. No time can become, good time, balanced time, even ME time.

Some tips to create time from NO time

1. BOOK it in your diary…by making that appointment with yourself you make a commitment and create the possibility of it happening.

2. Tell others you are going to do this- when we tell others it seems to make us more likely to follow through

3. Celebrate when you do this- by acknowledging your achievement you also create a desire to do this again and it becomes easier.
