Why is the beginning of September the most stressful week of the year for mums?

According to Netmums the most stressful week of the year is the week our kids go back to school! Although many mums are concerned about missing their children, many are relieved to get back into a routine and have some time to themselves again.

Back to schoolNetmums says that around:

  • 25% of mums feel stressed and lay awake at night worrying about everything there is to do.
  • 20% put on weight from comfort eating
  • 23% snap at their kids more than usual
  • And more importantly 40% of kids feel ‘worried and stressed’, some have sleep problems and a handful feel ill.

I have been there myself and as an EFT practitioner and trainer specialising in mum issues, I have supported many mums to ease this process for themselves and their kids.

In this article I am going show you how you can release the stress and overwhelm right now. It will take under 5 minutes and its a process you can repeat when ever you get stressed.

Below is a tapping script to release stress and overwhelm about getting ready for school. If you haven’t done EFT/ tapping before, then download 2 videos on how to do EFT and how to de-stress using EFT.

This script is quite general so please use your own words if your situation or feelings differ from this example.

Tap on the side of your hand when doing the setup statements (even though…). The initials stand for the following points:

TH: Top of Head
EB: Eyebrow
SE: Side of eye
UE: Under eye
UN: Under nose
Ch: Chin
CB: Collar bone point
UA: Under arm
